I am a freelance Web Developer and IT professional with 14 years' experience designing, architecting, and coding custom websites, CMS sites, and e-commerce solutions. I hold a Master's degree in Information and Communication Technology with an emphasis in web design and development from the University of Denver.
My current full-time position is at Millikin University, in Decatur Illinois where I am the university Web Developer. I am responsible for updating and maintaining Millikin’s Drupal sites to prevent security vulnerabilities and ensure modules and core code is up-to-date. I collaborate with other team members to brainstorm ideas and create campaigns to meet our marketing goals. I work directly with the hosting company and outside vendors to further develop and enhance the site and its functionality. I also provide hands-on training for faculty and staff so they can better manage their content through the administrative user interface.
By following industry best practices, latest SEO methodology, usability, and accessibility techniques, I develop websites and applications that can reach the intended target audience while improving site rank and availability to users, across all platforms.
I also work for EA Principals, updating and maintaining their Drupal site, Wordpress site, Moodle site, as well as other static sites. I assist with the development and configuration of their elearning tools and content. EA rpincipals is based out of Washington D.C. with a remote team, comprised of individuals from all around the world.
